RE: I just saved some money, trailer has a gray water tote

Cool Tote! I want one. Can you post some pics of the hanging bracket without the tote? I would like to see how the hanging bracket attaches/hinges to the trailer. I believe that I have seen this tote before at supply stores.

RE: generator question

What would the lower amp rating of the Honda EU1000i do to the converter if plugged into the generator? Generally campgrounds have a 15 or 30 am service. Would this make it better to just charge the battery even though it may take longer?

RE: Pics of Prophetstown State Park in Indiana

Mike, Thanks for posting the pics. I am from Indiana and I have not been impressed with the state parks at all. I will make sure that I avoid this park. It reminds me of the parking lot campgrounds where the best you can do is get a tan on the hot pavement. Dan

Hot Water Heater

Has anyone plumbed in the little portable, one pound cylander, hot water heaters that Coleman makes?

RE: Just saw this outside my local laundromat

I wonder if I can order it without the wheels, suspension or the engine?

RE: Do any of you have sway control for your pup?

I installed a friction sway control on our pup (2007 Fleetwood Seapine). It towed pretty well before the sway control so I am not sure how much it improved the sway. I am sure that it did something. Watch out how tight you adjust the friction type controllers. I tightened ours slightly too much and it felt like I was driving a semi instead of a mini van (2007 Chrysler Town and Country). It made the van really lean into the curves...at least it seemed like it.

RE: Who is camping over Memorial Day?

We're going to the Great Smokey Mountains National Park. Staying in a little campground in Townsend. Do some hiking, fishing, sitting. We hope to have a great time. First trip out this year.

Fleetwood propane quick disconnect

Can the propane quick disconnect on the side of my Fleetwood be used with a Coleman camping stove? I believe that it was origionally intended to be used with the indoor/outdoor stove.

Bal Leveler

All, After reading some of the posts, I thought I would look into getting a Bal Leveler. I have a couple of questions. Does the Bal Leveler work on softer surfaces like grass without putting something under it? How do you chalk the wheel? Thanks, Dan

RE: camper preferrences

My DW and DSX2 chose the Fleetwood line. We ended up with a SeaPine because it was in our budget. As stated in other replies, we thought that the other PUPs were good.... except for the Palamino. The NEW Palamino that we looked was poorly built, flooring was coming up, table would wobble about 3 inches up and down, and some other issues. We chose the Fleetwood because we felt that we got the best deal! If you are looking for the Creme de la Creme (sp?) of PUPS, have the weight to spare, and have the money to spare, then you might look at TrailManors ( http://www.trailmanor.com/ ). The are not "tent" campers but they are folding campers. Because they are hard side, the offer enclosed areas.

Gray Water drainage problem

My wife and I purchased our first PUP last year. After much looking we decided upon a Fleetwood SeaPine. We have been extreamely happy with the PUP....with one exception. We can't get the gray water to drain efficiently from the galley sink. The galley sink has about a 1 1/4 inch drain that leads to the outside. An adapter connects a gray water hose (garden hose) to the 1 1/4 inch line. Everytime we run water inside, we can't get water to drain. We have to go out and constantly mess with the garden hose to get it to drain. I don't know if it is getting air locked or what but it just won't drain. Has anyone else had this type of problem? We have tried different sizes and grades of hoses and I have considered using a utility pump that can be found at Tractor Supply to just pump the water out. Seems like that would work but it is just something else to carry. Any Ideas? D
